New to the market this week is the beautiful, technologically advanced J-Class sailing yacht Rainbow H2.
Standing at an impressive 39.95m she is the modern replica of the original J-Class that won the America’s Cup in 1934. The original Rainbow was designed by William Starling Burgess and in 2007, Dykstra & Partners were asked to redesign her but with some key differences – She now boasts an Aluminium; hull and a carbon mast rigging and 3-DL sails.
Launched in 2012 at Holland Jachtbouw, Rainbow H2 is the perfect blend of modern technology and the feeling of a time gone by. She features a unique hybrid propulsion system that replaces the conventional engine, giving her an advantage in both wieght and comfort – as she run entirely on Hy-Store Lio-on batteries, Rainbow is much quieter than her counterparts. The original Rainbow did not even have an engine room so WhisperPower developed this hybrid propulsion system just for this project.
While having a grand prix racing deck, racing boat hull and rig, Rainbow H2 accommodates her guests in the utmost style and comfort. Her interior is reminiscent of the 1930s and can accommodate 8 guests in 3 cabins. (The owner’s stateroom is aft and there are two ensuite twin guest cabins, each with a Pullman berth).
Priced at €15,500,000, Rainbow H2 is MCA compliant and Lloyds classed. Do not hesitate to contact our sales team for more information.
